Birthplace of English Wine and English Cricket

We shall ensure that brand development encompasses Hambledon's history as England's oldest vineyard.

Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones shall be developed by Hambledon Vineyard as the visionary leader of the renaissance in English wine production - our own Dom Perignon for the UK sparkling wine industry - in branding terms we are considering creating Sir Guy as the brand name for our millesime (vintage) wines.

The village of Hambledon is also known as the "Cradle of Cricket" because the laws of the present-day game of cricket were formalised in 1770 and the village famously beat All England teams several times in the late 18th Century in front of large crowds from across England.

The original label in 1964 was designed to include the cricket bats and the intention is to preserve the heritage of the vineyard.
